Would you play the Squid Game? That is the 38.7 million dollar question for you. If you have turned on Netflix recently, you may have realized the trending Netflix limited series Squid Game, also known as Round Six.
Squid Game is a South Korean survival drama television series. The series was written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuks. It was released on September 17, 2021.
The Netflix series follows a group of 456 people invited to play a mysterious game with a prize of $38.7 million. The rules are simple. There are six games. Win the game, and you live. Lose the game, and you die. There can be only one winner of the prize.
The games aren’t complex either. One is a game of red light, green light. Move on the red light and get bullets all through your body. The other is a deadly game of tug of war.
Do I recommend watching Squid Game?
Absolutely, it is a must-watch, especially for horror fans. After watching one episode, I was hooked. Everything about the series is fantastic. The look and feel of each game. The plot and characters are entertaining.
But there were two questions that I kept asking myself while watching the series. The first is would I play the Squid Game? This isn’t a question that you can take lightly. The prize is a life-changing $38.7 million. I could do a lot with that kind of money—the horror movies I would make. The trips I would take. Cars that could be bought. I might build a spooky retreat. That kind of money would change anyone’s life.
Now for my second question, could I win? Squid Game is a life or death game. So if you are going to play a life or death game, then you better win it. You could win $38.7 million, but you could die. The price of admission to the game is a wager of your life.
Would I play? It is very tempting. Could I win? I might want to train some before I join.
